Pulaski County Jail Inmate Population
The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office runs the jail. The office is at 2900 S. Woodrow in Little Rock. Phone: (501) 340-6600. The Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility is the single largest local jail in Arkansas. It houses pre-trial detainees from Little Rock, North Little Rock, Jacksonville, Maumelle, Sherwood, and every other city in the county. The facility opened in 1994 and has grown since then.
You can reach the detention facility at (501) 340-7001. The staff can confirm a booking, give out the charges on record, and share the bond amount. The facility runs 24 hours a day. New bookings post to the online roster within a few hours. Older records stay searchable for a limited time.
The Pulaski County inmate population mixes people facing serious felony charges, misdemeanor holds, and short-term sentences. State prison inmates serving longer sentences are sent on to the Arkansas Department of Correction after their cases wrap up. Federal inmates arrested in the county are held here only for short stays before the U.S. Marshals move them.
Note: The Pulaski County inmate population includes detainees from all county cities, so a person arrested in Little Rock or North Little Rock will show up on the same roster.
Pulaski County Inmate Roster Search
Pulaski County runs two online inmate search tools. Both are free. Both cover the same inmate population, but the format is different. Pick the one that matches your search style.
The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office detention page is the main landing spot. It links to the roster, to visitation info, and to commissary deposit tools. The main Sheriff's Office homepage covers the wider range of county services.
From the Sheriff's site, click the inmate search link to move to the Zuercher Portal. The portal runs outside the main .org site.
The Zuercher Portal is the live inmate roster. Type a first name, last name, or booking number. Results show a mugshot, race, date of birth, sex, arrest date, charges, bond type, and bond amount. The list updates in near real time.
Zuercher is used by many Arkansas sheriff offices. The layout is clean on desktop and mobile. Use filters to narrow a long name list.
A third option is the pulaskijail.com inmate roster page. This alt URL serves the same data. If one portal is down, try the other. The detention page links to both.
The detention page also shows visitation rules, mail rules, and commissary deposit steps. Check the page before a visit or deposit.
Booking Records and Intake Data
Pulaski County booking records show the arresting agency, the booking officer, the date and time of intake, the charges filed, the statute cited for each charge, and the bond set by the magistrate. Mugshots are taken at intake and posted to the roster once the booking is complete. The mugshot stays on the record for as long as the inmate is in custody.
The Pulaski County inmate population roster lists each charge by statute. For example, a drug possession charge may cite Ark. Code Ann. § 5-64-419. A theft of property charge might cite § 5-36-103. The bond amount is set based on the charge class, prior history, and the magistrate's discretion. Under Arkansas Code Ann. § 25-19-101 et seq., these records are public. You can ask for a paper copy of the booking sheet through the Sheriff's records division.
The Sheriff's records office sits at the main Woodrow address. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. FOIA requests must be in writing and sent to the records division. The three-day response rule applies.
